We have compiled answers to the most common questions asked by agricultural importers, distributors, and procurement teams who source fertilizer from China. Browse by category or scroll through the full list. If you cannot find the answer you need, our sales team is available via WhatsApp or email to help.

What is the shelf life of your fertilizers? +

Our fertilizers have a shelf life of 24 months when stored in sealed, original packaging. Proper storage conditions are: dry, ventilated warehouse, temperature below 30 degrees Celsius, away from direct sunlight, moisture, and contaminants. Once the packaging is opened, the product should be used within 6 months. We print the manufacturing date and expiration date on every bag.

Do you provide a Certificate of Analysis (COA) with shipments? +

Yes, a Certificate of Analysis (COA) is included with every shipment at no additional cost. The COA details the nutrient content (N, P, K percentages), moisture content, granule size distribution, heavy metal limits, and other quality parameters verified by our in-house QC laboratory. We can also arrange SGS or CIQ third-party testing before shipment if required by the buyer.

What certificates and qualifications do you have? +

We hold ISO 9001 Quality Management System certification, SGS product testing certification, CIQ (China Inspection and Quarantine) registration, and China Customs export registration. Our factory is also REACH compliant for EU markets and registered with the General Administration of Customs of China. Copies of all certificates are available upon request and can be included with shipment documentation.

What is the difference between granular and prilled urea? +

Granular urea has larger, harder particles (2-4mm) produced by a drum granulation process. It is more resistant to crushing and caking, making it ideal for bulk blending and mechanical spreading. Prilled urea has smaller, rounder particles (1-2mm) produced by a prilling tower. It dissolves faster, making it suitable for solution applications and direct soil application. Granular urea is more common for bulk export due to better handling and storage properties.

How should fertilizer be stored? +

Fertilizer should be stored in a dry, cool, well-ventilated warehouse with the temperature below 30 degrees Celsius. Keep bags sealed in their original packaging until use. Store on pallets off the floor, away from direct sunlight, moisture, and contaminants. Do not store near food, feed, or chemicals. Avoid stacking too high to prevent bag crushing. With proper storage, our fertilizers maintain quality for 24 months.

What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ)? +

Our standard MOQ is 1 x 20GP container, which is approximately 28 metric tons for most fertilizer products. This container load ensures cost-effective shipping and competitive unit pricing. For water-soluble fertilizers, the MOQ may be lower at 10-15 tons due to lighter product density. For OEM custom formulas, the MOQ is 50-100 tons depending on complexity. Please contact us for specific MOQ requirements.

Can I order a sample first before placing a bulk order? +

Yes, we provide 1-5 kg free samples for qualified buyers to test quality before placing a bulk order. The samples are free of charge; the buyer only pays for shipping (DHL, FedEx, or UPS). Sample delivery typically takes 5-7 days. Once you approve the sample, we proceed with the bulk order production to the same specifications.

How long is the production lead time? +

Production lead time is 7-15 days for regular products in standard packaging. For OEM custom packaging with your brand design, lead time is 15-20 days. For custom NPK formulas with new specifications, lead time is 20-30 days including sample development and approval. Shipping time is additional: 7-15 days to Southeast Asia, 20-30 days to the Middle East and Africa, 30-45 days to Europe and the Americas.

How do you handle quality disputes? +

In the rare event of a quality dispute, we follow a structured resolution process. First, the buyer provides the disputed sample and test report. We review the issue and, if needed, arrange SGS re-inspection at the destination port. If the product is confirmed to not meet the agreed specifications, we offer a full refund or replacement shipment at our expense. We stand behind every product we ship.

Can I visit your factory? +

Yes, we warmly welcome buyers to visit our factory in Dezhou, Shandong Province. Factory tours allow you to inspect our production lines, QC laboratory, warehousing facilities, and meet our team in person. We can arrange airport pickup from Jinan Yaoqiang International Airport (TNA) or Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK). Please contact us at least one week in advance to schedule a visit.

Do you offer after-sale technical support? +

Yes, we provide comprehensive after-sale technical support. Our agronomy team offers crop-specific application guidance, dosage recommendations based on soil and crop type, mixing instructions for compound applications, and storage best practices. We also provide ongoing supply stability updates and market intelligence. Every buyer is assigned a dedicated account manager for ongoing support throughout our partnership.

What is the nearest port? +

The nearest export port is Qingdao Port, one of China's largest international container ports. Our factory is located in Dezhou, Shandong Province, approximately 350 kilometers from Qingdao Port, which translates to about 4-5 hours by truck. Qingdao Port offers frequent direct sailing routes to Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe, and the Americas, ensuring competitive freight rates and reliable schedules.

Can you ship to my country? +

Yes, we export to over 60 countries across Southeast Asia (Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia), the Middle East (Saudi Arabia, UAE, Egypt), Africa (Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, Ghana), Europe (Spain, Italy, Turkey, Russia), and the Americas (Brazil, Mexico, USA). Tell us your destination port or country, and we will check shipping routes, freight rates, and transit times for you.

How many tons fit in a 20GP container? +

For 50kg PP bags, a 20GP container holds approximately 28 metric tons (560 bags). For 25kg bags, the capacity is also around 28 tons (1,120 bags). For 1000kg jumbo bags, 28 tons fit in a 20GP (28 jumbo bags). For water-soluble fertilizers, which are lighter, approximately 18-22 tons fit in a 20GP. For 40HQ containers, capacity doubles to approximately 56 tons. Exact capacity varies by product density.

Do you provide full export documentation? +

Yes, we provide a complete export documentation package with every shipment: Certificate of Analysis (COA), Packing List, Commercial Invoice, Bill of Lading (B/L), Certificate of Origin (COO), and any additional documents required by your country's customs. We can also provide phytosanitary certificates, fumigation certificates, and embassy legalization if required. All documents are prepared in English and can be translated if needed.

What Incoterms do you support? +

We support FOB (Free On Board), CIF (Cost, Insurance, and Freight), CFR (Cost and Freight), and FCA (Free Carrier) terms. FOB Qingdao is the most common choice for buyers who arrange their own freight forwarding. CIF and CFR are suitable for buyers who want us to handle shipping to their destination port. We can also arrange DAP and DDP for specific routes with additional cost.

What are your payment terms? +

Our standard payment terms are T/T (telegraphic transfer): 30% deposit in advance and 70% balance before shipment or against a copy of the bill of lading. We also accept L/C (Letter of Credit) at sight for orders above USD 50,000. For long-term partners, we can negotiate flexible payment terms. All payments are made to our verified company bank account.

Can you customize NPK ratios? +

Yes, we can produce any NPK ratio you require. Whether you need a standard blend like 15-15-15, 20-10-10, or a specialized formula like 12-32-16 for specific crops and soil conditions, our technical team can develop it. We can also add secondary nutrients (calcium, magnesium, sulfur) and micronutrients (zinc, boron, manganese, iron, copper, molybdenum). The MOQ for custom NPK formulas is 100 metric tons.

Can you do OEM private label? +

Yes, we offer full OEM private label service. We print your brand logo, company name, product design, and labeling directly on the fertilizer bags. We support up to 6-color printing on PP woven bags, kraft paper bags, and PE bags. Multilingual labeling is available. The MOQ for OEM private label is 50 metric tons. Our design team can assist with artwork preparation if needed.

What packaging options are available? +

We offer 25kg and 50kg PP woven bags with PE inner liner, 1000kg jumbo bags (FIBC) for bulk handling, 10kg small bags for retail, and custom drum packaging. All bags can be printed with your brand design. Pallet wrapping and shrink wrapping are available. Container loading is optimized to maximize tonnage per shipment. Custom packaging sizes (5kg, 20kg, 500kg) are available on request.
